I’m the founder and principal of High Salience, an AI search and SEO agency in Colorado. I started it in 2026 for B2B software companies and other category leaders. This blog is where I write about AI SEO in my own voice, outside the agency’s formal research pages.
What I do at High Salience
What I do at High Salience is measure how Google and AI assistants like ChatGPT choose, cite and recommend brands, then put that to work for clients. It’s principal-led, so clients work with me rather than a junior account manager. I build the commercial query maps and run the AI-surface measurement myself, and I direct the source campaigns for every client.
The research side is public: 21 published software teardowns, 2,100 coded answers and an open CC BY 4.0 dataset on GitHub and Hugging Face. A lot of what shows up on this blog starts there.
EliteAEO and person wikis
EliteAEO and person wikis are my other two lines of work. I’m the publisher of EliteAEO. Founded in 2026, it independently ranks AEO, GEO and AI SEO agencies that serve US businesses. I handle the provider research and the evidence checks, and I run the site. EliteAEO doesn’t sell AEO or SEO services, and it doesn’t take payment for a rank.
I also build person wikis. Each is a one-page biography in the style of an encyclopedia entry, published on a .wiki domain that carries the person’s name. I sell them through SameAs.wiki.
Before High Salience
Before High Salience, I spent more than a decade building, ranking and running a portfolio of owned e-commerce and lead-generation properties, where the search strategy and the revenue lived in the same P&L. That’s where I learned what kind of search work moves revenue, and it’s still the lens I bring to every category I measure.
What this blog covers
This blog covers whatever part of SEO I’m working on, and each post is filed under the topic it’s about:
- AI Search: how ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI answers pick the brands they cite and recommend.
- Building: how I build sites so search engines and AI can read them, from structure and crawling to schema.
- Content & Links: what to publish, how to earn links, and what makes a page worth citing.
- My Tools: the free tools I built for AI search, starting with GEO Search Console.
When a post comes with its data, it carries the black Dataset flag, and an Updated flag means I’ve revised it since it went up.
Where to find me
You can find me on LinkedIn. The studies behind most of what I write here, datasets included, are published on the High Salience site. I’m based in Colorado.
